Lee Slater grew up in Long Beach, NY, a community on the south shore of Long Island close to New York City. He attended public school (skipped fourth grade) and studied engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Following college, Lee proudly served as an officer in the US Army in Heidelberg, Germany, for two years where he managed an Army computer system. While he was in Europe, he traveled extensively, skied in the Alps, and experienced European culture. Lee has fond memories of day trips from Heidelberg to the Löwenbrau Brewery in Munich and weekend ski trips to St. Anton, Austria.
Returning to New York City, Lee attended the MBA program at New York University, Stern Graduate School of Business, in the evenings while working full time. After finishing his MBA, Lee honed his entrepreneurial skills in printing and financial services before starting his own tax practice. He is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the Internal Revenue Service, focusing on taxes for individuals and small businesses and resolving IRS issues.
Lee lives on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with his wife Christine. They enjoy spending long summer weekends in Pennsylvania, and time with their grandchildren Jack and Robbie who live nearby.
Lee has a laid-back style that makes him easy to work with. He is an advisor who understands that there are a myriad of aspects to a financial life.
